Charles Kenyon Hubbard 52, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2017 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born June 4, 1964 in Cumberland County to Betty Autry Hubbard and the late Hubert Carlton Hubbard, Sr.
He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill as a Johnston Scholar for undergrad and then continued to Carolina Law School. He practiced as an attorney for twenty-eight years and was recognized twice in the Gazette as "Best of Gaston" for his hard work and dedication to his clients. He started his law career in the Gaston County District Attorney's Office before venturing into private practice.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 26 years, Tammy Almond Hubbard; his daughter, Jordan Hubbard of Kings Mountain; his mother, Betty Autry Hubbard of Stedman, NC; his brothers; Carlton Hubbard, Jr. and wife Diana of Fayetteville, NC and Cecil Hubbard and wife Karen of Stedman, NC; his sister, Cindy Bain of Fayetteville, NC; his nieces and nephews, Hannah Bain, Madeleine Bain, Tyler Hubbard, Derek Breakfield, Jacob Breakfield, Ashley Almond, and Casey Almond; great niece Emma Bain
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 2017 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City, and at other times at the Almond home in Bessemer City.
A Celebration of Charles' life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 13, 2017 at First ARP Church, Gastonia with Rev. Matt Kuiken and Rev. Jerry Millwood officiating.
Interment will follow at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
