Bruce Scruggs

Bruce Wayne Scruggs, 44, of Bessemer City, went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 10, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center. He was born August 9, 1971 at Kings Mountain Hospital to the late Vickie Carter and stepfather Dean Carter.

Bruce is survived by his loving wife of 17 years, Alice Scruggs; his maternal grandmother, Virginia Scruggs of Kings Mountain; his daughters, Brenda Carr and husband Justin of Bessemer City, Britany Harris of Gastonia, Courtney Scruggs of Stanley, Kayla Maree Varner and husband Nick of Gastonia; sisters, Lori Oliver and husband Ricky of Kings Mountain, Myra Safrit and husband Johnny of Cramerton, Sheila Wylie and husband James of Bessemer City; brothers, Rodney Scruggs and wife Robin of Gastonia, Scott Scruggs and wife Tammy of Kings Mountain, Dennis Carter of Kings Mountain, Jeff Carter and wife Tonya of Raleigh, Rodney Carter of Raleigh; grandchildren, Michael Greely, Alexus Neal, Talan and Havannah Carr, Michael Vernon, Hurley Hankcock, Noah Neese, Bently Neese, David Scruggs, Ethan and Temperance Varner.

Bruce was a loving grandfather, a devoted husband and father. He enjoyed fishing and was a master mechanic of perfection. Words couldn't describe how much you will be missed. You will be thought of everyday. Rest now in the arms of the Lord, until we meet again.
