Bernice Hansell

Bernice Waldrop Hansell, age 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 30, 2017 at Belaire Health Care, Gastonia. She was born November 4, 1924 in Spartanburg County, S.C. to the late Rady Waldrop and the late Tilda Davis Howell.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George Ezborn Hansell; her son, Gene Hansell.

Bernice was a lifetime member of First Wesleyan Church of Bessemer City.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Sandra Payseur and husband Ed of Seneca, S.C.; her son, David Hansell and wife Alice of Gastonia; sister, Margie Hansell of Gastonia; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Bernice's life will be held at 2pm Friday, June 2, 2017 at First Wesleyan Church of Bessemer City with Pastor Wes Brown officiating.

Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:50 prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be at Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery.
