Ava Murks Prince, 63, of Mt. Holly, passed away on October 28, 2016 at Caromont Regional Medical Center, Gastonia. She was born on June 29, 1953 in Gaston County, to Marvin and Josephine Rice Murks.
She was preceded in death by her brothers Bobby, Gary and Lloyd Murks; sisters Lucille Patterson and Janice Turner.
Ava is survived by her son Calvin Jackson of Kings Mountain; daughter Victoria Prince of Chester, SC; sisters Shirley White of SC, Marilyn Crump of Stanley, and Wanda Elledge of Charlotte; former husband and care giver George Prince; grandchildren Alexis, Angel, Timmy and Gabby.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 31, 2016 at Revival Tabernacle of Mt. Holly.
Interment will follow at Trinity Assembly Church of God Church Cemetery, Bessemer City.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM, Sunday, October 30, 20126 at Sisk-Butler Funeral & Cremation Services, Bessemer City.
In Lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Ava Prince Gofundme page, Sisk-Butler Funeral Home or to the family.
