Arnold Eugene Morton

Arnold” Gene” Eugene Morton, 79, of Iron Station, passed away at Robin Johnson House on March 26, 2024. He was born March 19, 1945, in Gaston County, to the late Ruth Daxie Morton and Cora Blanton Morton. 


He is preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Morton, Ray Morton, Judson Morton, James Arthur Morton, and L.S. Morton; sisters, Frances Rudisill, and Eula Mae Howell.


Arnold loved his family, and he enjoyed sitting down with them sharing stories. He adored his dogs, especially his chihuahua, Angel, which he will leave in the care of his beloved sister, Nollie.


Left to cherish his memories are his son, Brad E. Morton; daughter, Crystal Colman; sister, Nollie Ann Clemmer (Lewis); granddaughter, Candy Morton; nieces, Veronica Morton, Sam Morton, Gwen Morton, Nellie Morton Phillips, and Diane Rebecca Morton; nephews, Judson “Buddy” Morton, Jr., Vard Clemmer, and Don Morton (Lizzie), chihuahua, Angel.


Arnold’s Graveside Service will be at 2:00 PM on Thursday, March 28,2024, at Woodside Cemetery, Clover, SC with Don Morton officiating.


In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robin Johnson House, PO Box 3984, Gastonia, NC 28054.
