ARNOLD HUNTSINGER

George Arnold Huntsinger, 90, of Bessemer City, passed away April 12, 2017, at Robin Johnson House, Dallas. He was born on September 21, 1926 in Rutherford County to the late William Collett and Dora Lee Arrowood Huntsinger.

Arnold was a loving Daddy, PawPaw, and Pops. He was a member of Ragan Wesleyan Church for many years. Arnold was a self-employed machinist. He was the last surviving sibling of his family.

In addition to his parents Arnold was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Tate Huntsinger; great-grandson Brandon Thornburg; and 6 brothers and 2 sisters.

He is survived by his sons, Sonny Huntsinger and Naomi of Kings Mountain, Mike Huntsinger of South Carolina, daughters, Vickie Riddle and Ronnie of Lincolnton, Reta Blanton and Jerry of North Myrtle Beach; grandchildren, Kelly Thornburg, Todd Thornburg, Meredith Thornburg, Mandy Riddle LeBlanc, Jessie Riddle, Marty Jones, Sonny Huntsinger Jr., Laura Huntsinger, Starr Huntsinger, Tiffany Huntsinger, Cristian Huntsinger, Amy Huntsinger, Cassie Huntsinger, Paul Huntsinger, Brooke; 26 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, April 17, 2017, at Ragan Wesleyan Church, Gastonia, with Rev. John Harper officiating.

His family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Ragan Wesleyan Church, 535 Oates Road, Gastonia, NC 28052.
