Adrian Beam

John Adrian Beam, 64, loving husband, father, brother, pawpaw, and friend went to be with his Heavenly Father on April 18, 2018 at Testa Hospice House, Kings Mountain. He was surrounded by his loving family, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Adrian was born on November 26, 1953 in Gaston County to the late John and Estelle Love Beam of Kings Mountain. Adrian married the love of his life, Myra Bess, on Valentine's Day, forty-two years ago. Adrian loved life and lived it to the fullest. Among his favorite past times were riding his Harley, spending time at the beach, traveling and any activity that included his family and friends. First and foremost, Adrian loved his Savior Jesus Christ and served Him faithfully. Adrian had a servant's heart and was always eager and willing to help a friend.
He graduated from Catawba Technical Institute and was a Design Engineer for FMC Lithium where he was employed for 45 years. He was a faithful member of First Wesleyan Church, Bessemer City where he served on the Local Board of Administration, Chairman of the Building Committee, Sunday School Superintendent, and member of the Men's Bible Class.

Adrian was preceded in death by his mother-in-law Helen Bess Hallman.

Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Myra Bess Beam, daughters: Andrea Beam Moore and husband Brent, Abby Beam Stewart and husband Luke, Son: Chase Howard Beam; Sister: Vanessa Davis and husband Tim; grandchildren: Kirsten McConnell, Braydon and Austin Stewart, Allie and Bentley Beam; brother-in-law: Tim Bess and wife Linda.

His family will receive friends on Friday, April 20, 6 - 8 p.m. in the Family Life Center of First Wesleyan Church, 510 E. Alabama Avenue, Bessemer City. A celebration of life service will be held Saturday at 2:00p.m. First Wesleyan Church, Family Life Center.

Interment will be at Westview Gardens, Bessemer City.
