Ricky Ellis

Ricky Monroe Ellis, 75, of Winnabow, NC, formerly of Bessemer City, passed away at home on November 10, 2022. He was born August 01, 1947, in Gaston County, to the late Monroe McDonald Ellis and Marjorie Absher Ellis.

He is preceded in death by sisters, Patricia Ellis, and Linda Ellis Nations.

Rick retired from Lithium (Livent) Corporation.  He was known for his love of music, dancing, spending time with his family and was an avid golfer. Rick was always fun to be with and enjoyed making people laugh.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 20 years, Serene Koh Ellis; daughters, Amanda Ellis Parsons, Amie Ellis (Andrew Beirise); grandchildren Ashton Parsons, Alden Parsons, and Liam Beirise; brother-in-law Horace Nations; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, November 14, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home.

Ricky’s funeral service will be held 2:00 PM on Tuesday November 15, 2022, at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home with Pastor Jimmy Maney.

Interment will follow at Westview Gardens.
