Eddie Wiley Emory, 65, of Bessemer City and Holden Beach, NC, died February 10, 2010, at Gaston Memorial Hospital, Gastonia. He was born March 20, 1944, in Gaston County, NC, to the late Eddie and Lucille Long Emory.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 PM Saturday at Harmony Baptist Church, Bessemer City with Rev. Steve Fain, Rev. Jerry Millwood, Rev. Dean Brock officiating.

INTERMENT: Westview Gardens, Bessemer City with full military rites by the Bessemer City American Legion Post 243 Honor Guard.

VISITATION: 12:00 - 1:00 PM Saturday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home, Bessemer City.

Eddie served in the United States Army and was a member of Harmony Baptist Church in Bessemer City.

SURVIVORS: wife: Brenda Tate Emory; daughters: Dawn Routhier and husband Paul of Lincolnton, Eydie Bell and husband Don of Denver, Co., Teena Tate and husband Jimmy of Cherryville; brothers: James Emory, Rodney Emory and wife Brenda, Randy Emory and wife Karen, Terry Emory and wife Karen, Love Emory; sister: Freida Brock and husband Rev. Dean Brock; sister-in-law: Jane Emory; 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren
