Brenda Ray Payne, 61, died February 4, 2010, at her home. She was born May 1, 1948, in Lincoln County, to Garnett Jackson Ray of Dallas, NC, and the late Margaret Rayfield Beam.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM Monday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Chapel, Bessemer City, with Rev. Tim Vaughn officiating.

INTERMENT: Bessemer City Memorial Cemetery

VISITATION: 7:00 - 8:30 PM Sunday at Sisk-Butler Funeral Home

Brenda was retired from Goodwill Industries after 15 years of service. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all.

SURVIVORS: in addition to her father, her husband of 40 years, Conley Willard Payne, Sr.; sons, Steven “Charlie” Hayes and fiancée Pat Speakes of Winston-Salem, Chris Hayes and wife Kelly of Lincolnton; brothers, David Eugene Beam of Kings Mountain, Jerry Dean Beam of Blacksburg, SC; sister, Linda Fay Boyette of New Bern; eight stepchildren; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren

PRECEDED IN DEATH: in addition to her mother, her daughter, Vanessa Willard; stepson, Conley Payne, Jr.
